the company granted me a birthday leave so i was able to celebrate it without thinking about my work. that, is enough gift for me.
spent my whole morning rolling in my bed until a call from B dragged me up. we agreed he'll accompany me do my groceries for the meal i planned to cook for my family ON my day. how ironic.
B fetched me around 3pm. went to a local coop to get some application forms. my friends and i were planning on opening an account on the coop bank since it's cheaper and less complicated. after that, proceeded to the nearby mall to have my grocery shopping. i planned to cook up pasta for supper and some garlic bread to accompany it.
having all the ingredients (and more) bought, it's now time to buy some cake. a birthday won't be a birthday without a cake.
i had two options on where to buy my cake. the first one was at joniel's cake and pastries located at jacinto extension, infront of central bank. i was hoping their price didn't hiked up since i adore their moist chocolate cake a lot. but i guess not every wish would be granted even if it's your day. so we decided to go for the second option since it's less expensive than the first one.
my second option was sugar munch desserts in marfori heights, just few minutes away from joniel's. they have this superb cookies and cream cake which i consider as one of my favorites. the original plan was to ask the taxi to drop by at sugar munch, B would buy the cake, then go home. well, original plans are meant to be broken just like eggs and promises.
with lachi's just few meters away from sugar munch, we can't resist stopping by to grab some slices of their drool-inducing cakes!
boggled on what food to get, we end up ordering our favorites. mine, stuffed chicken with pineapple sauce and B's, the lachi's unforgettable pork ribs. we also ordered the famous sans rival and the five layer choco torte which all tasted heavenly. while waiting for our order, we had a little jaunt to sugar munch (traitor!) for my cake. :P
anyway, that wraps up on what happened during my birthday. almost. ^^
